Sustainability is one of the core values of Customs Support. Most people think about the environment when they hear the term sustainability, but sustainability is about much more than that.

Together with the UWV

Together with the Dutch Governmental Unemployment Agency (UWV), Customs Support has enabled a group of unemployed people to re-train as declarants. A total of 9 people followed the 12 week program through Customs Safety Training. They interned at 5 different Customs Support entities. The candidates all had experience or affinity with logistics and international trade, or had experience in the financial services industry.

The special partnership between the UWV and Customs Support enabled the group follow the training program without losing their unemployment benefits. They were also exempt from the obligation to apply for jobs. This way they could fully focus on their training.

And that they did! With a lot of enthusiasm all students passed successfully completed their training. They not only received a certificate, but they also all got a job as declarants at Customs Support. They will re-enforce the teams working on the Brexit.

We congratulate them with completing their training and wish them all the best for their new career. Welcome to Customs Support
