If we compare the customs brokerage industry with the financial industry, it is behind when it comes to digital transformation. Our industry is a very traditional one.

To enable our customers to digitally submit their export declarations directly to the Customs Authority, we have developed our 'CustomsOnline' portal. 

The EU Customs is taking steps to improve the entry security and safety border controls. According to the European Commission, it entails an overhaul and reform from multiple perspectives, like IT, legal, customs risk management/controls and trade operational perspectives.

The Saudi Customs Authority has piloted the processing of a shipment with the use of blockchain technology. The shipment went from Damman in Saudi Arabia to the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. There it was put on a truck and transported to its final destination in Belgium.
